This weekend has been fairly quite around the area, with only 1 recorded crime which was a stolen Motorcycle, however this has now been recovered thanks to a member of the public being vigilant and spotting the stolen bike parked up at the rear of Flats on Garforth Street, Chadderton.

Last year we had an alarming amount of hoax calls, mainly by youths messing around and wasting police time, thankfully this stopped but this weekend we’ve had 4 calls, one of which is from a telephone box at the junction of Bamford Street and Chancery Street Chadderton. This phone box is well known for children calling out emergency services or just simply not answering the call.

If anyone has seen kids messing in and around this phone box, please either advise them about their actions or let us know via one of the contacts methods below with a description or photo of them, as we want to take action against these individuals as soon as possible!
